Artists Postcard Book We are all under the same sky is a permanent artwork made for the University of Cambridge Primary School by Ruth Proctor in 2015. This book is a celebration of the artwork and its participants. Bringing together 67 unique images of the sky taken by people in different locations across the globe, spanning all timezones the participants were asked to take a photograph of the sky at midday where ever they were at that moment. Creating a chance network of people whose photographs collectively represent a snapshot in time , whilst reflecting that the sky above us all is at once both constant and shifting. The artwork encompasses a simple yet beautiful vision of participation and equality; aspiring to broaden horizons and open up conversations beginning with our place in the world. Each page of this book is also a removable postcard and hopes to serve alongside the artwork by further extending these ideas into the future.
